스마트뷰 이용 방법 안내

✔ 스마트뷰 기능으로 스마트폰과 TV를 처음 연결할 경우 TV 제조사의 리모콘을 사용해 주시기 바랍니다.

안드로이드12에서 안드로이드7까지 사용 방법 차이는 없으나 OS별 퀵패널 아이콘 디자인이 아래와 같이 차이가 있습니다.

스마트뷰 사용 조건 안내

TV가 스크린 미러링 기능이 지원하거나, 미지원하는 경우 올쉐어 캐스트 동글을 연결하여 Smart View를 사용할 수 있습니다.(단, 올쉐어 캐스트 동글 사용 시 TV에 HDMI 연결 단자가 있어야 합니다.)

연결이 안될 때 스마트폰에서는 다른 TV를 통해 연결 여부를 테스트 해보시기 바랍니다.

TV 에서는 스크린 미러링 기능을 재설정 해보시기 바랍니다. (방법은 TV 제조사에 문의하시기 바랍니다.)

스마트뷰를 통해 기기 검색이 되지 않을 때

TV가 Screen Mirroring(Miracast) 기능을 지원하는지 확인해야 합 니다.

일부 삼성TV( ’13년, ’14년형)나 동글의 경우 Screen Mirroring 전용모드로 변경해야만 기기 검색이 가능합니다.

TV가 5GHz 대역의 wifi에 연결되어 있으나, 폰이 2.4GHz wifi만 지원하는 경우 tv 모드를 Screen Mirroring으로 변경해야 합니다.

Chromecast 기기의 경우, 먼저 “Google Home’을 통해 wifi를 설정한 후 스마트뷰를 통해 검색이 가능합니다.

이외의 경우 TV나 동글이 검색되지 않을 때 TV나 동글의 전원 케이블을 뽑았다가 다시 연결한 후 확인이 필요합니다.

Samsung Galaxy S9 Screen Mirroring Guide: Tips and Tricks

Watching multimedia content, playing video games or just exploring the web is always a thrill if you have a Samsung Galaxy S9. But what about enhancing the fun by mirroring your S9 screen to another device?

If that´s what you want, you´ve come to the right place. Here you´ll find four methods for taking the most out of Miracast technology and screen mirroring your S9 content with very easy-to-follow steps. Choose the one that suits you better.

1. Samsung S9 screen mirroring, using Wi-Fi Direct.

This method is only for TVs built-in support for scree-mirroring or Smart TVs. In case you don’t have one, please proceed on reading from method 2.

Smart TV owners can mirror their S9 screen using a conventional-wired option through one of its HDMI ports, which I´ll explain later, but given the enhanced capabilities of smart devices, it is better to cast, wirelessly, the content displayed on your S9 screen without using cables, adapters and even bypassing your Wifi connection.

For this purpose, your Samsung Galaxy S9 should have installed the SmartView app, which allows you to send content from your mobile device to most TVs that allow screen-mirroring. In case you don´t have it installed, download it here:

Then, do as follows:

Step 1:

On your Smart TV, please turn on the wireless capability or Wi-Fi direct, to make it visible to your S9. Please refer to the user manual of your tv device on how to do so.

On your S9 go to settings or slide your finger down from the top of your screen, to display the pull-down menu. Turn on the Smart View Icon.

Select the device you want to mirror to. If you did step 1 correctly, your Smart TV name should appear on the display list of devices available.

Finally, a message might appear on your Smart TV requesting you to either accept or decline the connection; please select the option, using your remote control, that will allow your S9 to send its screen content to your TV.

2. Samsung S9 screen mirroring to a LED TV, using Chromecast

For this, you need to have an Internet wifi connection to which both your S9 and the Chromecast streaming device, can be connected to. We advise you to go for the latest version, the Chromecast Ultra, but the previous version of this device is also available, which might also work for you.

To configure it and start screen-mirroring your smartphone, do the following:

Step 1:

Connect the Chromecast to the HDMI port on your TV.

Step 2:

Connect the power adapter to the Chromecast and then to the wall plug. (The device can also be fed from any USB port available on your TV)

Step 3:

Make sure your S9 and Chromecast device are both connected to the same Wifi SSID.

Step 4:

Download the Google Home app to your S9:

Step 5:

Open the Google Home app and follow the instructions. The app will guide you through the installation process of your Chromecast.

Step 6:

Once Google Home is installed and configured, use the cast icon now displayed in most apps installed on your phone (such as youtube, Netflix, etc) and start mirroring your favorite content from your S9 to your TV.

3. Samsung S9 screen mirroring to a LED TV, without Wifi

For this procedure, you´ll need a streaming device such as the ScreenBeam Mini2, in order to give your LED TV the screen-mirroring capability. We recommend this option only if there´s no wifi connection available otherwise, we advise you to use Chromecast instead, as explained in method 2.

Stick for screen-mirroring without internet.

Once you’ve got the ScreenBeam Mini or similar, do as follows:

Step 1:

Connect the ScreenBeam Mini2 to the HDMI port of your TV.

Step 2:

Connect the micro-USB end of the power cable to the ScreenBeam Mini2 and then the power adapter to the wall plug. ( The device can also be fed from any USB port available on your TV)

Step 3:

Turn your TV on and press on the source button of your remote control. A list of input channels will be displayed on your tv screen. Select the input associated to the HDMI port you plugged the ScreenBeam Mini2 into.

Step 4:

On your S9, go to settings or slide your finger down from the top of the screen, to display the pull-down menu and select on the Smart View Icon.

Step 5:

Then select the device you want to mirror to. If you did steps 1,2 and 3 correctly, your ScreenBeam Mini2 should appear on the displayed list of devices available to connect with. Select it and that´s it, you´re all set to start watching your Samsung Galaxy S9 screen on your TV.

4. Using a wired connection to mirror your Samsung S9 to a LED TV

If you don’t have a Smart TV or any of the gadgets that can convert your LED TV into a smarter one, then the wired option is perhaps the most suitable for you.

In this case, you’ll need your TV (with an HDMI port at least), an HDMI cable, a USB-C to HDMI adapter and of course your Samsung Galaxy S9. You’ll see that this method is very simple and perhaps, the hardest part would be to decide which HDMI to USB-C adapter to purchase.

Among the many choices, there are to buy, the Samsung Slimport HDMI to USB-C will work just fine for you.

Tip: Instead of getting the HDMI to USB-C adapter, you could also buy a USB-C to HDMI cable instead. It does the trick and can save you a few bucks.

Then, connect the other end of the cable into the HDMI side of the adapter. ( If you went for the HDMI to USB-C cable option, don’t mind this step)

Step 3:

Finally, plug the USB-C port of the adapter (or cable) into your Samsung S9 phone.

Step 4:

Turn your TV on and press on the source button of your remote control. A list of input channels will be displayed on your TV screen. Select the one associated to the HDMI port you plugged the cable into and voila! The content of your Samsung S9 screen should start mirroring on your TV.

Finally, you can also screen mirror to other devices such as projectors and monitors with different input ports since the USB type C port of your S9 device is compatible with VGA and DVI standards. After you get the right adapters (or cables), follow the procedure as explained in method 4.
